this series dives into identity, self-depiction, and inner struggles.

using a monochromatic palette, where black is the color of everything in shadow and white is the father of all colors, both colors come together to tell a story of light and dark. loose, bold brushstrokes, thick palette knife textures, and touches of silver leaf sheet bring meticulous clarity and depth to the figures. the collection highlights the balance between chaos and hope that has been seen by the artist on people’s faces during his time in syria, witnessing the worst type of war, “civil war,” while people stop being humans anymore, and justice takes no place. while our region’s most rich history just got destroyed and lost even more than before.

all of the above created these images that convey not just what the artist visually saw, instead, it was a deeper journey of emotions and feelings.
